CEMENT FOR CONCRETE

Cement is a building material that commonly found in the construction site to use as a blinding material (act as glue) which can bond the aggregate together to form a concrete by just adding water it is because cement is adhesive and cohesive properties material. Cement can be separate in to two category which is hydraulic and non-hydraulic.In this blog we just concern in hydraulic cement. The example of hydraulic cement are hydraulic fibre reinforced composites, mortar, screed, and in external rendering. These means that cement not only widely use in concrete only. Hydraulic cement hardens when hydration for example, when water is added into cement and chemical reaction will start between cement and water.
The hydraulic cement will stiff first before the strength is developed in the hydraulic cement.
The example of hydraulic cement is Portland cement and usually used in nowadays.
